The Tree of Life is a concept alluding to the interconnectedness of all life on our planet. With regards to woodwork: the tree grows in the forest, is cut down and into lumber, then with care is transformed into something useful and beautiful for your home, thus giving it new life.

I have had an interest in woodworking since I was very young and learned that my name, Sawyer, means woodworker. It wasn’t until I was attending the University of Oregon that I came to realize woodworking was what I wanted to do as a career. I studied Art, Sculpture, and Multimedia, and learned how to apply my design skills to all forms of carpentry, from cabinetry and trim-work to musical instruments, from fine furniture to arbors and decks, etc.

As often as possible, I use eco-friendly and sustainable materials and methods, like building with salvaged or responsibly harvested lumber, and recycling whenever possible. I want my business to have as little disturbance to our environment as possible. It’s worth our time to preserve and care for the planet that is giving us these trees to build our homes with.

I have a strong work ethic, an eye for detail and craftsmanship, and very high standards for my work. I am licenced with the CCB (Click on CCB# at top right), insured, and bonded. Contact me with whatever project you are planning, and I can make it happen affordably and quickly!
